Hello!

I'm Tana Heydeman (Tana like Montana). 

 

This is my third year at Toro Park Elementary and I am thrilled to meet my new bunch! 

My Educational Background:

I have been working in the classroom setting for the past nine years. I have a BA in Psychology from CSU Fresno. I started in special education as an instructional assistant and one to one aide. After three years I then received an ECE master teacher permit and transitioned to teaching PreK at Carmelo Child Development Center. My background in Early Childhood Education is reflected in my teaching style and classroom environment. In my four years of teaching PreK I developed a love for nurturing children's curiosity and learning while providing a safe and caring environment. I recently received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUMB and was lucky enough to join the Washington Union family. 

 

A little about me:

I was born and raised in Carmel. I now live here in Salinas with my husband Drew, beautiful baby girl Addison, and our fur baby Jade. I enjoy being outdoors, baking and spending time with family. 

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to serve the community that my family and I are part of and I look forward to a fun filled year!
