Principal's Message
Welcome to Washington Union School. Nestled in the hills of Corral de Tierra, Washington Union School creates an unmatched and dynamic learning environment for students in the 4th and 5th grades. Our deeply committed staff creates engaging and rigorous lessons that prepare our students for academic success in middle school.
Washington Union’s mission is to nurture personal, social and academic growth. Our school uses our Character Counts Program, focusing on the six pillars of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship to lay the foundation for an inclusive and safe learning environment to maximize student learning and belonging.
Students are able to have a well-rounded learning experience in the visual and performing arts with our robust Art Docent, courtesy of the Washington Union Education Foundation, and Music program.
While at Washington Union, students have the opportunity to attend overnight field trips. Fourth grade students learn about the rich history of the California Gold Rush while staying in cabins in Sonora, CA. Fifth grade students immerse themselves in nature while attending science camp in the Santa Cruz mountains, learning about various plant and animal species native to central California.
